What is Acne?
Acne is a disease involve the oil glands. It is not dangerous but it can leave acne scars on skin. Normally oily skin produced acne problem. Acne skin has pores which connect to oil glands located under the skin. These glands connected to pores via follicles, sebum, an oily liquid. The sebum carries dead skin cells become trapped within the hair follicle to the surface of skin. Acne pimples grow on the skin when these follicles get blocked.
Acne appear on face, neck, chest, back and shoulders. It is common in teenagers but it can appear in any age. In the age of 30s and 40s people may also have acne.
The main acne cause hormonal changes that stimulate oil production.
Change the hormones level in females some days before their periods.
During pregnancy, birth control pills, or stress.
Applying greasy or oily cosmetic and hair products.
Certain drugs, including androgens and lithium, are known to acne cause.
High levels of humidity and sweating.
There are two main types of acne symptoms: non-inflammatory and inflammatory.
In non-inflammatory acne, Few whiteheads and blackheads appear on the face. A relatively mild type of acne, it can often be treated effectively with nonprescription medicines. The majority of people with acne have this type of acne symptoms.
In inflammatory acne, the whiteheads become inflamed, and red pimples and pustules develop. In its most severe acne form, inflammatory can cause disfiguring cysts and deep, pitting acne scars of the face, neck, back, chest and groin. Prescription drugs and sometimes surgery are needed to treat inflammatory acne.
